Welcome to George Hubbard's Personal Page

I'm participating in the Hanover Walk-A-Mile In Her Shoes 2022 Event Friday, August 12, 2022 in Hanover. This is an event that brings together a community of passionate and diverse individuals to connect and raise funds that will help support victims of domestic violence. YWCA Hanover Safe Home provides services to nearly 1,000 survivors every year.
In this event, men walk a mile in high heels to support victims of family violence in the Greater Hanover Community. I'm looking for people to sponsor me as I raise money for the YWCA Safe Home.
In 2013, I raised $2100 wearing a dress, hat and wig. In 2014, I raised over $2300 as a Bride. In 2015, I dressed up as a "WAM Prom Queen" and raised over $2400. In 2016, I had double knee replacement and couldn’t walk, but still supported the cause, raising $760. In 2017, I raised over $2800 as “Wonder Woman” and in 2018 I raised over $2000 as "Snow White". In 2019, as “Nurse Nancy”, I raised over $2600 and in 2019 as “Rosie the Riveter" I raised over $3000. Last year as "Georgette - The FlpperGirl" I was over $3000 again. Since the Event started in 2013 and with lots of support from the Exchange Club of Hanover, friends, family and acquaintances, I have raised over $21,000 for this worthy cause.
This year I will be walking as "Lady Liberty". I ask for your support, as I raise money to support the YWCA Hanover/Safe Home and their efforts in addressing domestic abuse.
If you would like to help me in this great cause you may donate in the following ways:
1. Make cash donation to me.
2. Write a check to YWCA Hanover/WAM and give or mail to me at 401 Chapelwood Drive, Hanover PA 17331 or mail/take a check to the YWCA and tell them it is in support of me.
3. Donate Here by clicking on the donate button on this page.
Thank you in advance for your support.
